How To Train Your Dragon
How To Train Your Dragon
Series; Cressida Cowell
Everyone knows the movie with this title, but they don’t really know the series. This is where the inspiration for the movie came from.
There are 12 books in the series, each one its own little adventure of Hiccup and Toothless. The first 6 are kind of an introduction to Hiccup’s world, while the last 6 grow darker and darker per book, culminating in the darkest book, #11. How To Fight A Dragon’s Fury brings the tone back up, and ends with a believable explanation of why dragons aren’t here anymore.
Number 12 is my favorite.
I love the theme in this series. It’s all about How To Be A Hero, The Hard Way. I reckon most people can relate easily to that, since it’s hard to be a hero, and not most people are naturally talented like Snotlout.
My favorite quote from this series:
“Love never dies, What is Within is more important than what is Without, The best is not always the Most Obvious, and Once you’ve loved truly Thor, then you know the way.”
My thanks to Cressida Cowell and her awesome books. I rate these 5 out of 5!
Expect to see her dragons on this website. She has created a lot!
